‎Suspected hoodlums on Monday set cars ablaze in a roadside car mart in Abuja.‎

It was gathered that the hoodlums were protesting against the blockade of the Apo mechanic village road by #EndSARS protesters.

About seven vehicles were burnt down during the violence which also left some individuals injured.

Spokesman of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Mariam Yusuf, confirmed the incident.

She also said the development was being investigated.

The hoodlums, who objected to the blockage of the Apo road by the #EndSARS protesters, attacked the activists with sharp objects before torching the vehicles parked at the roadside car mart.

A video of the burning cars has already gone viral on social media.

Reports that two persons died in the incident have not been confirmed. ‎
