A high court sitting in Akure, Ondo State, on Tuesday sentenced the Founder of Sotitobire Praising Chapel, Prophet Babatunde Alfa and five others to life imprisonment over the disappearance of a one-year-old boy in his church.
The boy, Gold kolawole, disappeared when his mother took him and his siblings to the church for a worship service.
Justice Olusegun Odusola in his judgement sentenced the cleric and his co-defendants after finding them guilty of the two count charge of kidnapping and aiding and abetting to kidnap.
The defendants where convicted based on the circumstantial evidence presented by the prosecution.
